To cater the needs of dairy technology industries in the state of Rajasthan, Faculty of Dairy Technology was sanctioned by Govt. of Rajasthan in the budget 2020-21 on 5th June, 2020 as a constituent college of Agriculture University, Jodhpur. The college started its function from the academic session 2020-2021 at University Headquarter under the title Faculty of Dairy Technology, Jodhpur with the intake capacity of 40 seats per year (order No. F. ()/AU/Jodh/Estt/New college/2020/458 dated 12th June, 2020). The Faculty of Dairy Technology, Jodhpur is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) (approval letter F. No. North-West/2021-22/1-9480632393 dated 15th July, 2021). The name Faculty of Dairy Technology has been changed to College of Dairy and Food Technology by the academic council of the University (order No. F. ()/AUJ/ Estt/BOM-17/13643-13651 dated 31st May, 2022) in the year 2022. CDFT, Jodhpur delivers quality based technical education for the development of well-trained Human Resource through its UG programme offered in the field of Dairy Technology and Food Technology. The college is committed to provide need-based quality education in all the major field of Dairy Technology viz. Dairy Chemistry, Dairy Microbiology, Dairy Technology, Dairy Engineering, Dairy Business Management and Economics to make the students competent enough to strengthen the dairy and food production and processing sector in the state of Rajasthan as well as India. Primary mission of college is to develop highly professional dairy specialists through value-based education, research and training in dairy technology for meeting technological and societal needs. As well as to educate students to play an active role in product development and processing industry with respect to dairy, subsequently satisfying present and future needs of a society through the development and implementation of revolutionary technologies for the prosperity of the nation.

Dr Naleeni Ramawat has joined Agriculture University, Jodhpur as Associate Professor (Agronomy) in 2022. She has earlier worked as a Director and Associate Professor at Amity Institute of Organic Agriculture, Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Noida, India since 2007. She has also worked in IHBT (CSIR), Palampur, and International Traceability Systems, new Delhi etc. She has to her credit meritorious service of over 17 years in Teaching, Research and Administration in the discipline of Agricultural Production and Natural Resource Management. She is a Doctorate in Agriculture (Agronomy) from HPKV Palampur in 2007 with specialization in Crop Production and Crop Modeling. She has also done MBA in International Business from Amity University. As a Director of Amity Institute of Organic Agriculture for past one decade, she has an extensive experience in Design and development of new course curricula for various programs i.e. BSc, MSc, Doctoral and MBA responding to the needs and opportunities of the Industry 4.0. in Agriculture and also worked in Accreditations from National and international bodies as NAAC, WASC, UGC etc. Her Research experience is evident by publications in reputed journals in national priority areas such as Organic Agriculture, Agronomic biofortification and Crop nanobiology, besides handling 4 major research funded projects worth 1 cr. by MoA, GOI, DST, BIRAC and Nanomission on Zinc bio fortification, Agri-voltaics and Organic Agriculture. She has published over 75 original research articles, review articles as well as book chapters and books in high impact factor journals has delivered numerous oral and posters talks. She has been recipient of BIRAC- Grand Challenges India Award as Co-PI for Agri-Nutrition and also young Scientist Award in 2016.
